The topic for this year was OVER THE PAST DECADE THE ISSUE OF GUN CONTROL HAS BEEN HIGHLY DEBATED. THE ABILITY TO OWN A GUN IS CONSIDERED BY SOME A BIRTHRIGHT OF AMERICANS. HOWEVER, WITH REGULAR NEWS REPORTS OF DEATHS BY HANDGUNS, MANY HAVE ARGUED A NEED FOR STRICTER GUN CONTROL LAWS OR THE OUTRIGHT BANNING OF GUNS ALL TOGETHER. SHOULD GUN CONTROL LAWS BE STRICTER? MORE STRICT, LESS STRICT, OR THE SAME: WHAT EFFECT WOULD THERE BE ON CRIME?
