Pennsylvania law generally requires the filing of a Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax Return within a specified period. Depending upon the size of the estate, a Federal Tax Return may also be required.
Once formally appointed, the Executor is personally responsible to ensure that the estate is handled properly. They must confirm asset valuations, coordinate the payment of estate debts and expenses, and file the appropriate tax documentation.
When an individual dies without a Last Will and Testament, their estate is controlled by Pennsylvania statute. We can assist in ensuring that the law followed and that the appropriate beneficiaries are protected.
